On March 2, 2019, former sexbomb member Sunshine Garcia married her longtime boyfriend, Alex Castro, their grand wedding reception was held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
The 33-year-old actress was left speechless with how beautiful her wedding reception turned out and admitted getting emotional over it and even cried.
Sunshine tied the knot with her boyfriend of more than three years this Saturday, in a ceremony at the Manila Cathedral. She walked down the aisle wearing a beautiful Patricia Santos intricate wedding gown.
Their wedding was attended by their family and some of their closest friends, including other former Sexbomb dancers, as well as several showbiz personalities.
Sunshine admitted in an interview that she’s really hoping for a beautiful wedding, “nakaka-royalty” she said. However, she added that she already managed her expectations because they were working on a budget, “basta maayos lang, disenteng wedding, yung mag-e-enjoy naman mga bisita ko, and masarap yung food,” she added.
But to her surprise, everything was beautifully decorated and even exceeded her expectations. She got the most satisfying shock of her life on her big day.
On Instagram, Sunshine wrote:
“Halos lahat perfect mula sa Church, gown, suits, make-up pero isa ito sa nagpaiyak sa akin. Yung makita ko na ganito kaganda yung reception namin parang halos ayaw ko nang patanggal lahat at duon na lang muna ako. Sobra-sobra ang binigay niyo sa amin.”
“Yung iyak ko kahapon sa inyo sa sobrang saya ko kasi hindi ko inexpect na yung pangarap kong ayos ng reception na sabi ko sana maranasan ko ang ganitong reception. Pero alam ko sa sarili ko na baka hindi mangyari. Pero nandiyan kayong lahat para tuparin ang dream wedding namin,” she continued.
The glamorous details in the wedding reception became a stunning backdrop filled with colors and flowers. There were hanging decors and intricate lights, arranged to come up with a breathtaking backdrop and the ceilings were converted to look like a garden full of roses.
In another Instagram post, Sunshine thanked all the people who helped to make their dream wedding come true, especially Mother B (Badang Rueda) and her team for giving their best to create the “jaw dropping” reception.
Looking at the photo, you can see that the happy bride was in tears as she was able to experience her dream wedding.
