Kapuso actor-host Paolo Ballesteros was left heartbroken after losing his two fur babies, Sam and Lily, who both died just days apart from each other.
The 36-year-old actor-host first took to social media to share a tribute video for his beloved pet Sam or Sammy last March 6.
He wrote in the caption: “Thank you sa pag tabi mo saken matulog for the past month, when I’m the loneliest…I love you Sammy.”
Paolo Ballesteros also shared a photo of Sam lying peacefully inside a heart-shaped box. “Good night forever, Sam,” he said.
A few days after, he again shared on Instagram another tribute video clip and photo of his other fur baby, Lily.
“Say hi to Sam for us… I love you Lily…” he captioned the video clip.
Lily was lying in a box and ornamented it with white flowers, where the actor wrote, “Die beautiful para sa aming ultimate pakgirl…I love you Lily.”
In an Instagram Story, Paolo explained that Sam has a history of urinary tract infection (UTI). Apparently, his bladder got swollen to the point that it becomes impossible for him to pee.
Lily, on the other hand, just gave birth via cesarean section a few days ago. She was still in the vet clinic and recovering when suddenly after feeding her kittens, her heartbeat weakened. Lily was transferred to the intensive care unit, but she did not make it.
Paolo’s Instagram followers sympathized over his loss, while some gave their messages to the actor. Here are some of their comments:
“Omg…this made me teary”
“Fur angels”
“I’m crying while watching this” “Sinalo nya heartache mo..”
“Run free Sammy and Lily”
