“Hi Ma, it’s time to go home!” Son Took His Mom Home After 20 Years of Working as an OFW in Hong Kong

Being an OFW is one of the hardest jobs that one must commit because they have to move away from their families to work abroad for a long time just to have a prosperous and comfortable life for their loved ones.

An example of this tough struggles and sacrifices was shared by Hans where he states how his mother worked for almost 20 years abroad. He shared the story of how his mother was able to support all of her children needs for their studies and made them all succeed to have their professions.

Through her hard labor, she succeeded in making her children able to become an accountant, a teacher, a nurse, a pharmacist and midwife, a civil engineer and registered master plumber, and also a soon to be Information Technologist.

Hans was really a proud son as he thanked almost everyone including her mother’s friends who was always there for her in times of crisis. He was also thankful for his mother’s employer, Mr. Lee, because of the kindness he had offered for them by lending his mom some cash advances in times of desperate shortcomings in their financial status.

But most of all, he expressed his gratitude on his post towards his mother: “It’s your graduation day, mama and it’s time to go home! We love you, mom!”

As a Thanksgiving treat, Hans surprised his mother with an all-paid expense ASEAN trip for which Singapore is their first stop.

Check out his tear-jerking post for his mom:

“Hi Ma, it’s time to go home! Finally, dumating na ang araw ng Graduation mo! I know excited kana at Susunduin na kita dahil overstaying kana dito sa Hongkong. I still remember I was still 6 years old nang iwan mo kaming pitong magkakapatid para makipagsapalaran dito sa HK to give us a better life and good education na paulit ulit mong sinasabi na yun lang maipapamana mo Sa aming magkkapatid. Galit na galit ako sayo noon ng iwan mo kami kasi diko pa naiintindihan lahat why you have to leave us. Di naging madali ang lahat para sa atin dahil maraming pagsubok ang dumaan at halos magkawatak watak pa tayo. I couldn’t imagine how hard it is for you makatanggap ng masasamang balita galing from Pinas habang nagpapakapagod ka. Di rin madali ang Nagpalipat lipat tayo ng tirahan at ng school.

After 20 years of working hard and sacrifice heto na nagbunga narin ang pangarap mo para sa aming lahat. Look at us now, di mo namamalayan you already have produced an Certified Public Accountant, A Licensed Teacher, A Registered Nurse, A Pharmacist and Midwife, A Civil Engineer and Registered Master Plumber, and soon to have an Information Technologist. Ma, we owe you a lot. Di kami makakarating kung nasaan man kami ngayon kung di dahil sayo.

We are so blessed to have a mom like you na hindi sumuko sa amin. The best po kayo Maraming Salamat! Kaya Ma, Today, your Graduation has come and finally you’ll be free from stress and work. In behalf of my siblings I am congratulating you! Job well done my mom! It’s been a long hard years kaya It’s time for you to enjoy life naman. Kaya before you go home for good, let’s have an ASEAN TRIP .All expense paid! We love you Mom! So First Stop, Singapore!”
