In south-west China, a father has come up with a creative way to prevent his daughter from getting distracted while doing her homework.
The father teamed up with their pet mongrel to ‘supervise’ her daughter while she writes her homework at their home in Guiyang, Guizhou province as she wouldn’t stop looking at her phone.
As seen in the video footage, the adorable cream-colored pooch was standing on its hind legs, hovering strictly over the schoolgirl as she completes her assignments on a coffee table.
Based on the video description, the little girl is always using her smartphone when she was supposed to be doing her homework. The desperate father wants to keep his daughter focused on her task, he decided to use their pet dog to prevent her from getting distracted. He taught the dog to stand over the girl while she is working on her homework.
The father surnamed Xu, told video news site Pear that the dog joined the family in December 2016 when he was only a puppy and grew up with the little girl.
Mr. Xu shared that he has been training their pet dog since it was young. He said,
‘Its’ very well-behaved,’ adding that ‘I have been training it since it was young and now it does whatever I tell it to do.’
‘I pointed at the coffee table and told it to watch my daughter as she does her homework. It would then guard her and make sure she doesn’t reach for her phone,’ he added.
The video showing the diligent dog staring closely at the girl like a strict teacher has gotten a lot of attention on social media.
