Liza Soberano once again amazed many people when she revealed that she took a welding and electrical course during her first year in high school. While most of her fans call her “Goddess,” she recently proved that she isn’t as fragile as they think.
The revelation happened during Liza and Enrique’s latest guesting in Gandang Gabi Vice, where they shared a bit of themselves when they were still students.
The 21-year-old actress talked about her role in their upcoming film, Alone/Together, whose setting is the University of the Philippines Diliman. Liza played “Tin” who was a student in the said campus.
Vice then began talking about his college life experiences and said he took the admissions test in UP back in the day, he passed the exam but decided not to pursue it because of the course.
According to Vice, “Nag-exam ako dun dati, pumasa ako pero di quota course. Ang pinasa kong course welding, eh hindi ako gaanong interesado.”
Upon hearing Vice’s revelation, Enrique then asked Liza to share her “welding story”.
“Uy, nag welding si Liza, nag course talaga siya ng welding dati sa probinsya. I-kuwento mo,” Enrique said.
“First year high school nag-aral po ako sa Pangasinan, per quarter po may ibang course na kailangan so ‘yung first sem ko, welding,” she revealed.
Vice then asked why she chose welding, Liza laughingly replied, “Ayoko kasi ng dressmaking.”
“Nag-vulcanizing ka na rin sana!” VIce said in jest.
The actress went on and shared that she made a grill before which they still use up to now.
“Nag-welding ako, gumawa ako ng grill, ginagamit po namin ‘yun hanggang ngayon,” she said.
“Yung grill pangluto, gumawa po ako, stainless steel pa po ‘yun, tapos nag-electrical din po ako,” she added.
The funny host went and said, “Ang taray siguro kung electrician mo sa bahay si Liza Soberano.”
He also teased Enrique, “Ba’t ‘di ka mag-tubero? Imagine-in mo si Enrique, ganyan ka-gwapo tapos nagtatrabaho sa Malabanan… Kung ikaw ang tubero, day, kahit ‘di sira yung gripo namin, wawasakin ko talaga!
Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s Valentines movie “Alone/Together,” directed by Antoinette Jadaone, already kicked off in Philippine cinemas last February 13.
