Identical twins share their looks, but one set of twins from Perth, Western Australia have revealed they share a lot more than that.
The siblings dubbed the “world’s most identical twins”, Anna and Lucy DeCinque, met mechanic Ben Byrne and began dating him in 2012, shortly before they found fame. They were honest with him about what they wanted. He moved in with the girls and their mom a year later.
“We were upfront that we came as a package, and he insisted that was fine with him,” Anna said. “Being a non-identical twin himself, he said that he understood our bond.”
The pair is keen to take their unique relationship to the next level. But marriage isn’t the only plan the two women have on the cards for their future. They have revealed that their mom wants them both to get pregnant at the same time with their shared boyfriend’s babies.
The twins made the shocking confession in a recent television interview on Australia’s “Today” show. If this were to happen, their children would be both half-siblings and cousins.
“Our mom’s actually convincing us to give birth naturally. I don’t know how that’s going to work.” They continued: “We need to be pregnant at the same time. How is that going to work? It’s going to be another challenge. There’s a lot of pressure on Ben.”
Previously in December, the sisters revealed both of them wanted to tie the knot with their shared beau, although polygamy, having more than one wife, is banned under the Marriage Act 1961 in Australia. The duo also spoke about their desire to change the law so they can both walk down the aisle with their dream man.
“If we can change the government we would love to marry Ben,” they said – speaking at the same time. “I think we should marry the same man. This is what works for us. People need to get that. We aren’t hurting us.”
