Kris Aquino has a son named Bimby Aquino (James Carlo Aquino Yap) with her former husband, James Yap and an older son Joshua Aquino (Joshua Aquino Salvador) with her former partner Philip Salvador.
Currently, the 47-year old actress is having a break from her showbiz career because she was diagnosed with autoimmune disease, a life-threatening allergy that affected her health. The actress previously revealed on social media the results of her medical treatment in Singapore and posted some photos that show evidence of her drastic weight loss.
Recently, Kris Aquino flew to Singapore with her youngest son Bimby, to seek treatment as she continues her battle against chronic spontaneous urticaria, which is a form of autoimmune disease.
In her Instagram post last January 10, she shared a photo of herself while she was lying in a hospital bed and she said that she had a series of tests.
The actress wrote, “Promised you TRANSPARENCY. Finished blood extraction. Now starting my next texts. Very blessed with caring staff (iba ang Pinoy, thank you to all nurses & medical staff here saying they are praying for me ) and an excellent hospital. Waiting for the drug/medicine challenge.”
Looking at her photos, she seemed very tired and exhausted because of the medical tests that she received.
On January 11, Kris also posted a touching video on Instagram that shows her son, Bimby watching over her in the hospital and then falling asleep. According to the actress, her son Bimby refused to go to a hotel so that he could stay with her.
