A teacher’s post on Facebook has recently gone viral after he shared a photo of his almost empty classroom where only one student showed up on the first day of classes.
Teacher Chito Marquez Grullo from Binalonan, Pangasinan accompanied the photo with a witty caption which reads:
“January 3… may long quiz pa sana ngayon…tsk.. #MayFirstHonorNaAko ???”
Thousands of netizens had a good laugh over the photo which featured the lone student whom they commended for showing up despite the hangover from the long vacation. Some even suggested that the teacher must give him extra points for doing so.
On the other hand, a few other netizens joked that the young boy must have been left out of the group chat because he was clueless that all of his classmates planned to boycott the first day of school.
However, when afternoon came, the lone student decided to ditch the class as well, leaving Teacher Grullo all alone. Feeling a bit disappointed, he took another photo of the classroom and posted it once more on Facebook.
“At tumigil ang mundo….nang Wala nang pumasok ngayong hapon??? Wala nang first honor… first honor neto??? January 3,” he wrote.
Interestingly, both of his Facebook posts had gone viral, with netizens suggesting that he rather relax and enjoy the fact that he had nothing to do for that day since all of his students were absent. Teacher Grullo then dropped his guards off.
As it turned out, he had been joking all along about being mad with his students for not showing up to the class. However, he gave everyone a head’s up to come back on Monday next week, stating that it would be “back to reality” for all of them this time around.
