Debut is considered one of the most important events in a teenager’s life as he/she embraces adulthood. While we typically see debuts of many young ladies, it is rare to witness a debut event of a girl-boy twin.
It might just be a double celebration for some, but still unusual all the same – just like Mavy and Cassy Legaspi, the twin children of Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi. Cassy was expected to celebrate the 18th birthday while Mavy his 21st but since the two could not be separated and upon Cassy’s special request, her twin brother agreed to join her on their 18th birthday.
“I want to share the celebration with Mavy and make it a night to remember for our friends and loved ones as well. There will be no usual 18 roses, candles, wishes. Instead, I created the 18 MC awards where we thank the people closest to our hearts,” shared Cassy prior to the big event.
Time indeed flies fast for one of the most loved twins in the Philippine showbiz industry! It’s not just because they came from a well-respected family, they also charmed the public by gracing TV commercials of reputable brands ever since they were young.
Who would have thought that the two are now of legal ages? The duo celebrated their grand 18th birthdays last January 12 at One Canvas Events Place in Makati City, donning an Oscars-themed affair!
The venue was styled by Gideon Hermosa, draping it with dominantly red elements. Meanwhile, the stunning debutante wore a gold gown by Francis Libiran, featuring a large skirt adorned with petal-like appliques. Her makeup was courtesy of Denise Ochoa, while her mermaid waves were done by hairstylist John Valle.
While the mother-and-daughter tandem was all dolled up from head to toe, Mavy and his dad only sported sneakers but donned gentlemen’s suits both designed by Francis Libiran as well.
