According to some research, travelling helps reduce stress, it also keeps your body healthy inside and out, and boosts brain health.
That is also the reason why many people love to travel with their loved ones when they have time. But just like the ordinary people, many celebrities also love to travel, and of course, they can afford to do it in more style and extravagance.
Some people might be wondering why the ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda, was not recently seen in the famous noontime show. The comedian-host went for a holiday vacation in a European country together with his mother and his family.
On Instagram, the Kapamilya star shared a picture of him with his mother in front of the famous temple in Barcelona last December 31.
He wrote, “Last year she said she wished to go to Barcelona to be able to see the Sagrada Familia. My profession deprives me of quality time with my family. So when given the chance I make sure every moment counts and everything creates a wonderful memory. Before this year ends I brought her to where she wished to be. I didn’t know we had to book online to get access inside the church. So I asked a friend for help. Unfortunately only one could get inside. And like a parent to a child, I am now patiently waiting for her to finish her ‘field trip’ inside the Sagrada Familia. I AM THE HAPPIEST SON RIGHT NOW!!!!”
He also shared some highlights of their trip in his Instagram account. Starting from the airport up to the beautiful tourist sites in Barcelona.
According to him, his mother really wanted to see the “Sagrada Familia” church, that’s why he chose to visit Barcelona.
The Basilica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia or ‘Sagrada Familia’ is a large unfinished Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, which is known as a popular tourist attraction in Spain.
The Roman Catholic church was built in the city of Barcelona in 1883, but the construction of the church was stopped when its architect passed away in 1926. Today, the church has not been fully done despite the continuation of the construction.
The Kapamilya star also shared that they experienced a minor problem in Barcelona. He is not aware that there is a rule in visiting the Sagrada Familia church. If someone wants to visit the place, they should book in advance via online.
That’s why Vice asked his friend for help, but unfortunately, only one person was allowed to go inside. Of course, he gave the chance to his mom.
Aside from the success of his hit movie “Fantastica: the Princess, the Prince, and the Perya”, which is his entry into the “Metro Manila Film Festival 2018” or MMFF, the greatest achievement for him is to see his mom happy and to fulfill all her wishes.
“Fantastica is such a huge hit and continues to win in the box office. But for me, this is a bigger achievement. My biggest so far. To be able to grant my Nanay’s wishes as she gets older is big deal for me. Vice Ganda is accomplished. Tutoy is successful. This is how I end my 2018,” he added.
As of writing, his Instagram post already reached over 720,000 likes and comments from his fans and some celebrity friends like the ‘Queen of All Media’ Kris Aquino.
Here’s the conversation between Kris and Vice:
“Please tell Bimb to bring me to Ephesus okay?” Kris wrote.
“I’ll ask Bimb to bring us two there. Hahahha !!!!” Vice answered.
The actress was referring to the ancient Greek city of Ephesos or Ephesus located in Turkey.
This place is also known as a tourist attraction, where one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Temple of Artemis / Diana, is located.
