We’ve witnessed a lot of Pinoy showbiz love teams that sooner or later become a real-life couple. While some of them were able to survive and still making their fans squeal until now. However, there are also some who chose to end their relationship for some reasons.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera
Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera is one of the most powerful couples in the showbiz industry. They were even dubbed as the ‘Royal Couple of the Philippines’ who made it to the finish line and actually ended up with each other. The couple worked together in many TV series and movies.
In 2007, their love team was first showcased in the Filipino adaptation of ‘Marimar’ and after a year, Marian and Dingdong’s relationship became official.
The two got married in 2014 and their wedding was considered as one of the grandest and most expensive celebrity weddings of all time and now they already have a beautiful daughter named Zia and they’re also expecting their second baby.
Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga
Kapamilya actress Erich and Daniel first worked together in the remake of Two Wives, when Daniel entered the middle part of the series back in 2014.
The two were seen in some photos while going out secretly. In 2016, Erich and Daniel admitted their relationship and they were openly supported by their fans. The couple even starred in their own morning series, ‘Be My Lady,’ but unfortunately, they split up on February 2017.
Sam Milby and Anne Curtis
In a 2006 TV series Maging Sino Ka Man, Sam and Anne had their debut career as a love team where they played the characters of Celine and JB.
The two became a couple while filming the series in the first quarter of 2007. After a year, they broke up while filming their latest series, ‘Dyosa’. But the two remained very good friends and was actually able to do movies together back in 2010 and 2014.
Anne Curtis is now happily married to husband, Erwan Heusaff, while Sam Milby also happy and proud with his non-showbiz girlfriend.
James Reid and Nadine Lustre
One of the most talked about love teams that turned into real-life couples is the Kapamilya stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre. The two began their showbiz career last 2014, where they starred in the movie adaptation of a hit Wattpad story entitled ‘Diary ng Panget’. The film became a huge success in cinemas which resulted in the making of their second movie, just a few months after the release of their first movie.
The love team was dubbed as ‘JaDine’, and they starred in the ABS-CBN hit series “On the Wings of Love.”
Their relationship became official on Feb 2016 when James publicly asked Nadine to be his official girlfriend during their post-Valentine concert in Araneta Coliseum.
Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu
Gerald and Kim’s relationship actually started even before they became famous. The two were first introduced in a reality show called ‘Pinoy Big Brother’. After that, their names started to make noise in the showbiz industry, they also starred in various movies and teleseryes which all undeniably became a phenomenon.
Unfortunately, the ‘KimErald’ love team ended their 4-year relationship due to some unknown reason. After their breakup, the love team once again starred in their own PrimeTime teleserye, ‘Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin’.
Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo
In 2006, Jennylyn and Dennis Trillo started working together in GMA’s afternoon series, ‘Now and Forever presents Dangal’, but it wasn’t until 2010 when they started to grow feelings for each other that is more than an on-screen love team.
Their relationship didn’t end well as there were some issues between the two of them. But in 2015, Jennylyn admitted that they are exclusively dating again. If you are following them on Instagram, you will see that they are open about their relationship and they often post photos of them together.
Iya Villania and Drew Arellano
Iya Villania and Drew Arellano started out as a loveteam in GMA’s Filipino youth-oriented TV series, ‘Click’ in 2003. The actress was only a teenager when she was paired with Drew, who was already in his late 20s at that time. They also dated several people first before finally settling down with each other. Luckily, their relationship lasted for so many years and the two are now happily living together with their first-born baby boy.
Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa
Jericho and Kristine first starred together in ‘Pangako Sa’yo’, which was the longest-running teleserye of all time, and that’s when their undying chemistry took over the showbiz industry. Their tandem was undoubtedly the love team that made us all shrieked during the times when they used to star in different movies and soap.
The couple eventually broke up in 2003, but they still continued to do more projects together until 2009. Today, Jericho and Kristine were both happily married and have their own family. Kristine is living a quiet life with husband, Oyo Sotto and their children, while Jericho married, model Kim Jones.
Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana
Carla and Tom first worked together as the married couple Lally and Vincent in GMA’s heavy-drama series, ‘My Husband’s Lover’ After this hit series, their tandem made it to the list of the ‘most-sought love teams of all time.’
The two were paired again in a light-romantic TV series, ‘My Destiny’. In 2014, Tom publicly admitted that he’s courting Carla Abellana and he also said that the actress is the type of person whom he’d like to spend his lifetime with.
