‘Badjao Girl’ Rita Gaviola has definitely gone a long way from where she was before after her photo taken by Lucena City-based photographer Topher Quinto Burgos became viral on social media.
It was during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban town in Quezon when Burgos chanced upon the exotic beauty while asking for alms along with her two-year-old sister.
The caption of the photos read:
“‘Beauty slayer’. Photo walk at Lucban Pahiyas. Nakita lang namin siya nanghihingi ng barya, kapatid natin mga Badjao na may angking ganda.”

Gaviola gained more prominence upon joining the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Lucky Season 7 back in 2016. Even though she didn’t win the grand prize, the former teen housemate received a lot more blessings by doing guestings and modelling gigs. With her distinct jawline, high cheekbones, soulful eyes, and model-like figure, she sure has the potential in the showbiz industry.
Just recently, Gaviola was spotted during the Starstruck audition at the GMA Network and photos of her have been circulating online since then. “Nakasabay ko sa audition ng #Starstruck, Rita Gaviola,” a netizen wrote in his Facebook post.
Gaviola also shared a video tour of their newly renovated house sponsored by her Mommy Grace Kreutzer on her YouTube channel. “Thank you so much po kay mommy Grace kasi pinaayos niya ang bahay namin. Okay na siya, maayos na,” she could be heard saying in the video.
As seen on her vlog (video blog), their house has now better walls, windows, and flooring. Unlike before, it now has a comfort room as well. We wish her luck on her new journey towards fulfilling her dreams for herself and for her family!
