1. Ruffa Gutierrez
After their Muslim wedding in Turkey, beauty queen/actress Ruffa Gutierrez tied the knot with ex-husband Yilmaz Bektaz in 2003 on a Christian wedding in Manila. At the time, she kept her baby bump at bay in her European-inspired wedding gown designed by Inno Sotto.
Although the price of the gown was not divulged, rumor had it that it cost around half a million pesos.
2. Georgina Wilson
Model Georgina Wilson married Arthur Burnand on April 30,2016 and wore a Monique Lhuiller bridal gown from the premier fashion designer’s Fall 2015 collection called The Elizabeth.
The intricately beaded gown in tonal rose gold was gifted to her by the generous Dra. Vicki Belo and it cost P774,345.
3. Heart Evangelista
Kevin Kwan, author of “Crazy Rich Asians” said so himself – Heart Evangelista is one of the “crazy, rich Asians” in real life. That fact could not be denied when she married Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero in the exclusive Balesin Island Club on February 15, 2015 and wore a gown designed by Dubai-based Filipino designer Ezra which cost P1,078,246.
Embellished with roughly more than 70,000 of different varieties and sizes of Swarovski elements, it took the designer six months to finish the gown. In addition, Ezra used French lace for the lining and tulle fabric on top, added with a Baroque lace embroidered with French sequins.
4. Marian Rivera
The King and Queen of GMA7’s Primetime, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, had a highly-anticipated royal wedding on December 30, 2014 wherein a road was closed down just for their wedding.
Looking like a real-life princess from head to toe, the Kapuso actress walked down the aisle in her extravagant Michael Cinco wedding dress. Various reports claimed that the off-shoulder ecru-colored gown in French lace, studded with Swarovski crystals, cinched at the waist, and with a ball skirt with a cathedral train cost P2 million.
