If you have more than one child, imagine celebrating all of their birthdays on the same day. What are the odds, right? For a Wisconsin couple who lives on a farm in Union Grove, marking all six of their kids’ birthdays on the same exact day is a blessing.
Couple Carrie and Craig Kosinski always planned to adopt. “Adoption was always a part of what we had planned… but we wanted to try to have our own children first and then adopt,” Carrie who was herself adopted as a child said.
“But we were told by the doctors we wouldn’t be able to have kids on our own,” she added. After Carrie was diagnosed with endometriosis and other issues that complicate ovulation, the couple moved up their adoption plans.
They went on to adopt Carrie’s friend’s twins. A year later, the same friend asked if they’d like to adopt her older set of twins and they said yes.
They are currently in the process of adopting the two sets of twins when Carrie felt strange and realized she needed to go to the doctor. An ultrasound revealed that she herself was pregnant. In fact, not one but two fetuses appeared on the screen!
Unbelievably, biological twins Karraline and Clarissa were born during week 25 of Carrie’s pregnancy on February 28, 2016, the same date that the other two pairs of twins were born.
The fact that all of their children share the same birthday was a clear sign to the grateful parents that this was meant to happen.
The parents decided to do everything they could so that all six children would grow up in a safe, loving environment. They now have legal guardianship of JJ and CeCe (born February 28, 2013) and Adalynn and Kenna (born the same day in 2014) and are raising the finances through GoFundMe.
While it’s costly to have three sets of twins under one roof, many people in the surrounding community have offered to financial help. Moreover, the fact that all six children came into the world on the same day make Craig and Carrie feel like someone up there had a special plan for their family.
