The 24-year-old Filipino-Australian beauty once again wore her own creation and many netizens took note of her ear cuff that was enhanced by her side-swept hairstyle.
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has been praised for having local designers to dress her up and bringing local pieces to showcase in the global pageant.
After winning the crown, Tessera Jewelry posted the ear cuffs that Catriona wore in Miss Universe 2018 coronation night on their Instagram account. According to their post, it was made of gold, studded with diamonds and rubies with golden south sea pearls. They called it, Alab at Dangal this is inspired by the Philippine flag and it represents every Filipino’s pride.
The owner of the said local jeweler, Tessera Jewelry is Carl Deo Fider.
According to him, “The design was conceptualized mainly by Catriona herself together with her stylist Ton Lao and [us.]
“The idea was to come up with the best possible representation of the country. They reached out to our team for this collaboration, which took more than a month of hard work and craftsmanship,” Fider added.
He also mentioned that the cuff that Catriona is wearing is 18k solid gold!
“18k solid gold studded with 4 carat (total) natural diamonds” and is valued at P178,000.”
Many people were asking for the price of these ear cuffs. That’s why the local jeweler also offers a similar ear cuff to Catriona’s “Three Stars and a Sun” at a lower cost starting at P9,900.
Aside from all the trending topics about this, it is also believed that her iconic ear cuff was Catriona’s lucky charm.
