But years after their break up, the two were given a chance to reunite with each other by working together as a love team on their romantic drama film titled “Exes Baggage” and also with the ongoing daytime Kapamilya TV series called “The Playhouse.”
The on-screen couple is often teased together by their friends, with the hope that someday they will rekindle their love for each other once again.
Last December 25, CarGel loveteam was spotted on a series of Instagram posts by the Kapamilya actress. According to an article by Pep.ph, the first photo came out featuring Angelica and Carlo together with Angelica’s adoptive mom and another relative of the actress.
She wrote a simple caption on the photo that says, “Masaya ang lahat, Merry Christmas.”
As of writing, the photo has already gained 277,747 likes on Instagram.
Their friends and colleagues felt the sweetness between the two upon seeing her Instagram post.
Some showbiz personalities expressed their ‘kilig’ on Angelica’s post.
One of those who commented on the viral Christmas photo of Carlo and Angelica was director Dan Villegas, who is also the director of the box-office hit “Exes Baggage” where the CarGel loveteam starred in as leading characters.
Dan wrote a Christmas greeting in his comment, “Merry Christmas! [at]iamangelicap [at]jose_liwanag”
In her response to direk Dan Villegas comment, the actress wrote, “[at]danvillegas rekdi! Merry Christmas! Nahanap ko na yung nawawala.”
While there are some celebrities who showed their support for the two by commenting on the actress’ post with heart emojis like Kaye Abad and Ara Arida.
Aside from the viral “family photo” of Carlo and Angelica, the Kapamilya actress also uploaded some photos of their Christmas-get-together with some of their closest friends on her Instagram account.
CarGel loveteam fans and supporters can’t help but build some speculations about them having a romantic relationship since they have a history with each other.
The two remained close friends with each other even after they broke up. However, many people are still hoping that eventually, they will get back to each other’s arms again as a real couple.
