It’s a normal scenario for many people to live with both their parents around them.
Because of this, there may be times that some of these people are taking their parents for granted.
Without even knowing how lucky they are to spend time with them and not realizing that there are some less fortunate people who grew up without having the chance to be with their parents at all.
Take it from the multi-awarded actress, Julia Montes, who has appeared in various films and television shows such as “Bahay Kubo: A Pinoy Mano Po!” “Way Back Home,” “Ikaw Lamang,” “Doble Kara,” and “Asintado,” among many others.
Julia Montes was undeniably one of the most successful names in Filipino TV today. But, although it may seem that she had an almost perfect life, the 23-year-old actress was still longing for one thing: to meet her biological father Martin Schnittka.
All her life, Julia was raised by her Filipina mother and grandmother. While, this life story is also very common for some of our favorite personalities and celebrities. What makes her story different, is she was able to rectify the situation and finally meet her estranged father a few years back.
In 2016, the actress was able to meet her father, with the help of many people. According to her interview with ABS-CBN’s “Magandang Buhay!” back in February 2017, she said that the first thing her dad did was to apologize to her in their first meeting. After that, they spent the whole night talking about the past.
After their first meeting, Julia Montes uploaded a photo with a lengthy and heartfelt message for her dad in her Instagram account.
Thank you ! … #goingtoendmy2016 #blessed” Julia created this post on December 27, 2016.
In her most recent Instagram post, the actress posted a selfie of herself and her dad along with a lengthy caption read as:
“The sweetest man I know… and I’m proud to be his daughter… This year I got to know him better… He may look na brusko and nakakatakot but he’s so sweet and loving… observant pa… Sa grocery he saw me looking sa nutella nagdadalawang isip ako kumuha… the next day meron na sa breakfast Table… My sweetest Papa… My Gentle Giant.” Julia shared how happy her father made her with a very simple but thoughtful gesture of buying her nutella.
The 23-year-old actress is currently in Europe traveling with her father as can be seen in her recent Instagram posts.
