Having a child is considered by many people as the greatest blessing for married couples. But there are also some who chose not to follow this norm for some reasons.
One of them is the celebrity couple Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones. After being married for more than four years now, having a baby is not part of their immediate plans.
Recently, the 39-year-old actor explained the reason behind this during his interview. According to him, both of them are still not ready to have their own child and it’s a mutual decision.
The Kapamilya actor said that they still have individual goals to reach, he also added that they are still enjoying their time as a couple that’s why they don’t need to rush into having a baby.
“We just realized we’re not yet ready. Parang feeling talaga namin as a married couple, ang dami pa naming kailangang pag-aralan sa isa’t isa and enjoy-in yung time namin sa isa’t isa. Para mag-grow pa kami as a couple, we’re not really rushing, ang dami naming pamangkin.”
Jericho Rosales also explained that they don’t want their baby to suffer the consequences of them rushing into things and they don’t get envious towards their friends who have kids of their own.
“Hindi naman kami ang mahihirapan kapag ano, yung baby naman. Di ba pag walang time, yung baby yung kawawa. Ayaw na ayaw namin yung putting pressure on the marriage… hindi naman kami nagmamadali.”
Many people were surprised to hear his explanation and received sentiments from those people who don’t agree with their ideas, but there are also some who believe on the couple’s perspective in life and his way of starting a family. What matters is that they are happily living their life and enjoying their time as a couple.
Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones got married on May 1, 2014, in a beachside themed wedding held in Shangri-La Boracay Resort.
