Christmas is certainly a time of giving and sharing with those around us.
Some people say that one of the main reasons why we have the custom of giving and receiving gifts, during Christmas, is to remind us of the presents given to Jesus by the Wise Men: Frankincense, Gold, and Myrrh.
Here in the Philippines, we often heard of those people who are giving gifts or acting like a real Santa Claus to all the people around them. One of them is the Pinoy boxing champion and now Senator Manny Pacquiao, who is also known as one of the wealthiest people in the Philippines.
Although the boxing champion is very famous and wealthy now, he never fails to remember where he came from and still manages to share his blessings to those who are in need.
Previously, the boxer-turned-politician made headlines because of the viral Facebook video was taken by Jen Manilay from General Santos City. According to her, Manny Pacquiao gave the ice cream vendor named Manong Marciano money, a job, plus a house and lot.
The uploader of the video said that Manny first gave Manong Marciano P3,000 pesos. But when he found out about his unfortunate life story, the senator gave him another P30,000 pesos.
Also, upon knowing that Manong Marciano was only renting his house, Manny Pacquiao also gives him a house and lot.
Last December 11, Manny Pacquiao once again became the talk of the town of the Forbes Park residents in Makati City because of the long queues in front of his house. These people are hoping to receive Christmas gifts from the generous “Pambansang Kamao.”
They said that Manny Pacquiao was allegedly giving away cash gifts worth 3 million in total. Upon hearing the news, the Pinoy boxing champion’s house was instantly filled with, drivers, security guards, housemates, and anyone else who was lined up outside of his mansion in Forbes Park. They are all hoping to receive such Christmas gifts from the boxing champion.
According to a report, some people lined up for over 3 days and it always starts at 3 o’clock in the morning. On the other hand, the residents of the village said that they admire Manny Pacquiao’s generosity and his big heart.
