One of the inspiring love stories that have melted the heart of the public is of Elo and Mara’s love story.
Their one-of-a-kind love story made us look at true love in a whole new level.
In 2013, the couple’s wedding video went viral on social media and captured the heart of many netizens. The popular wedding videographer Jason Magbanua captured their special event.
The bride, Mara is such a beautiful woman and an ideal type of girl that all men wish to have, while his groom, Elo feels he is imperfect because of being a little man.
Fate brought Elo and Mara together to prove everyone that happy ending still exists, despite the disability which makes Elo ‘imperfect’ in the eyes of critics. Love and destiny brought them together and end up in a solemn and very touching marriage ceremony where they both exchanged beautiful and most touching vows we have ever heard.
Elo said to his vow:
“Alam mo, ang dami kong tanong sa Diyos. Bakit ganun? Bakit ako? Wala naman ako natanggap na sagot. Pero ngayong nasa harapan na kita, alam ko na ikaw na ang sagot sa lahat ng tanong ko, sa lahat ng dasal ko, sobra-sobra pa.”
While Mara said to her vow:
“I will love you, forever as the day more. Nothing is more important to me that our love for each other. And I feel so blessed and grateful, that you loved me despite my imperfections, always seeing the gold in me even if I reflect silver. I believe I’m the helpmate God’s design especially for you. And I promise to be the arms that you need to reach your star and the legs that you need to take too big steps. My arms and legs are made to be the extension of yours.”
Five years after, the couple was blessed with their little sunshine: Liam a healthy baby boy.
Elo and Mara’s love story is a living proof and a testament to how great love can do to every one of us.
