Woman Discovers that the Oyster She Was About to Cook Contains a Strand of Pearls

We know that the value of a pearl can vary dramatically depending on many factors. Say, for instance, a wild pearl will be worth more than a cultured pearl.
However, on average, a pearl’s value ranges from $300 to $1500. With that being said, South Sea pearls are considered the most valuable and are also the largest pearl variety on the market. A strand of this pearl can range from $1,000 to over $100,000.
One woman from China has acquired pearls in the least expected way. As seen on the video footage shared on social media, it turned out that the oyster she bought from the local market contained pearls inside.
The Chinese woman bought the oyster she intended to cook for her family, supposedly to make a delicious soup out of it. However, she got the surprise of her life when she discovered that the oyster offered something much more valuable inside.
As she was washing and slicing it open in half, she was shocked to see a strand of pearls on the inside of the oyster. The pearls were clinging on both sides of the mollusc.
Initially, the woman could not believe her eyes at what she just discovered at the time. Nonetheless, she took all the pearls shortly thereafter out of curiosity which all summed up to 20 pieces, showing them to the camera. All the pearls were shiny, round, and in full color just by the looks of it.
Netizens who have watched the video stated their varying opinions. Most of them expressed their disbelief and questioned the authenticity of the footage.
In spite of this, it is worth mentioning that pearl creation is a tedious and long process, not to mention a complicated one, which takes place on a pearl farm. These cultured pearls are some of the most impressive organic gems available on the jewelry market.
