Despite getting glamour and fame, some actors and actresses, after appearing in successful TV shows and movies, chose to stay away from the limelight.
Do you still remember Paula Peralejo? Back in 90’s she is Patrick Garcia’s famous Love Team? This is her life now after she chose to stay away from the limelight.
Paula Peralejo is the stage name of Maria Elena Paula Bautista Peralejo-Fernandez, a former Filipino actress.
She is also the younger sister of actress-host Rica and started her showbiz career in 1992 as one of the members of the kiddie gag show “Ang TV.”
She was one of the popular stars during her stay with ABS-CBN. With her stunning beauty and a very pleasing personality, the network believes that Paula would achieve similar levels of popularity because of her sister’s success, and to a large extent, she did get that.
During the late 1990s until early 2000, Paula Peralejo played the role of Anne in the show “Tabing Ilog.” She was the love interest of Patrick Garcia’s character James.
Paula decided to take a break from showbiz to focus on her studies.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy minor in Tourism from University of the Philippines in Diliman.
The former teen actress tied the knot with her husband Charlie Fernandez in a Filipiniana-themed wedding held in Pinaglabanan Shrine (Sanctuario de Santo Cristo) in San Juan on February 23, 2013. After years of being married, the couple was blessed with one child and they named him baby Pablo.
There’s no doubt that Paula is definitely enjoying her life away from the limelight and issues.
Today, she is now a full-time traveler, travel blogger and has her own blog site.
So far, the couple has explored 73 out of the 81 provinces in the Philippines and traveled to 22 countries together.
“It is the fruit of her love affair with learning and wanderlust. She has a special fondness for Philippine culture, history, arts and crafts, scuba diving/ snorkeling, birdwatching, nature trips, adventure, and voluntourism.”
