Inspiring OFW Invests His Earnings in Apartments and Becomes a Millionaire in His 20s
At one time or another in our lives, each and every one of us has pondered over the idea of becoming extremely rich. For most of us, it has been in our 20s. This is the time of our lives when we are extremely hooked by the idea of becoming a millionaire. But what about actual self-made millionaire?
It is often awe-inspiring to think about how early some of the world’s most famous entrepreneurs got their start. Many of them simply had a fantastic idea and then just worked nonstop to make it a reality.
We all know that some entrepreneurs get rich quick, but still, others do it even while they’re young. While most teens spend their youth honing work skills in entry-level jobs, others get that spark to succeed at an early age.
If you are an entrepreneur and are looking for inspiration, then this success story of a man who got his first million in his 20s will certainly motivate you.
Jayson Sazon Jingco shared the inspiring story behind his success on PESO SENSE SAVERS GROUP, a Facebook financial literacy group.
Admittedly, the young man partly owed his success to working in South Korea as an OFW, but he emphasized that what he did with his earnings was what put him in his place today, gaining the respect of netizens from the social media community.
Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management in 2010, he is currently working in manufacturing.
“Sinubukan kong makipagsapalaran abroad at napunta ako dito sa South Korea last December 12, 2012, 22 years old to work into manufacturing field may dapat akong pagpilian sa dalawa may nagoffer din kasi sakin ng work sa field ko and I guess I made the right decision na nagpabago ng lahat,” the young man narrates on the group.
“Bago paman ako umalis puno na ng teachings mga parents ko sakin sa kung ano lahat ang mga pangarap nila samin at dapat hawakan ko ng maayos ang pera ko habang bata pa ako at di pa married.”
Rather than splurging on travels and whims, Jayson invested his money in real estate. He credited his parents for teaching him how to budget his money and make sure that he only spends within his means.
He began investing his money in apartments as taking inspiration from the renowned financial advisor Chinkee Tan. Today, his investments are providing him a passive income.
Jayson has also used some of his money to help his siblings find work abroad. His older brother is now in Canada while their two younger siblings are also working in South Korea. He also bought his own car.
At the age of 27, Jayson was able to save his first P1 million! But his story of success did not end there. Together with his siblings, hr purchased parcels of land, expanding their apartment business as well as building their very own homes.
Jayson has truly come a long way despite being relatively young. Now at 28, he has finished building his dream home which he would soon share with his soon-to-be wife. The couple is planned to tie the knot early next year when Jayson turns 29.
