It all began way back in 2000 when a little Tyrel Wolfe from Idaho filled a box with lots of goodies and a photo of himself with his name and address at the back. The said box was then donated to Samaritan’s Purse which made its way to the Philippines and was received by a young Joana Marchan.

Grateful as she was, Joana tried to send Tyrel a letter to thank him for the present but for unknown reasons, he failed to receive it. Many years has gone by and a grownup Joana searched for Tyrel on Facebook and luckily found him. She sent him a friend request but was ignored for several months until he finally accepted it. That’s when the friendship of the two started virtually.
Little did they know that what started as an innocent chat between mere acquaintances would bloom into a genuine friendship and later on grow into romance. Tyrel then decided to come to the Philippines where they spent time together, truly falling in love with each other.

Joana was even brought to tears when they first met in person as she was overwhelmed by the ‘amazing feeling’ of finally seeing Tyler in the flesh. The young man strongly believes that God destined them to be together in which Joana found a way for them to reconnect. Needless to say, they are meant for each other.
