Jhong Hilario or Virgilio Viernes Hilario Jr. in real life is a Filipino actor, dancer, and politician. He was once part of the famous dance group Streetboys and is currently serving as a member of First District of Makati City Council.
Jhong made his debut as an actor in 1996 and has appeared in numerous films and TV shows of various genres since then. In 2012, he ventured into hosting. While he only started as a regular judge in ABS-CBN's It's Showtime, earning him the title "Sample King," he eventually became a part of the hosts of the said noontime show.
In 2016, he decided to leave It's Showtime for quite some time to pursue his political career. In one of his interviews, Jhong credited his father, Virgilio Sr., who served as a counselor for 9 years as his main inspiration to run for the council seat.
Currently, Jhong is playing the famous antagonist role of Homer Adlawan/Alakdan in the primetime TV show FPJ's Ang Probinsyano since 2017.

As for his love life, Jhong is currently in a relationship with Maia Leviste Azores although he was once married to a British woman he met while doing "Miss Saigon" in London's West End in 2001.
Due to their cultural differences, the two have separated after their seven-year marriage which Jhong confirmed in 2011.
