Google maps have an all-seeing, all-knowing camera that travels the world taking snaps of landscapes. It has managed to capture images of pretty much every location on Earth – and sometimes a little more than it bargained for.
According to reports, a husband has divorced his wife after discovering pictures of her ‘cheating’ with another man on Google Maps.
The man, from the city of Lima in Peru, was checking the best route to get to the famous landmark known as Puente de Los Suspiros de Barranco – Bridge of Sighs of the Ravine when he spotted a familiar figure. He zoomed in a woman sitting on a bench, stroking the hair of a man who was lying with his head in her lap.
Although Google maps technology was designed to blur all “identifying information” such as license plates, properties, or faces, he instantly noticed the woman because of the outfit she’s wearing that was strikingly identical to the one his wife owned. Upon looking closer, the man realized it actually was his wife with an anonymous male.
The photo, taken by a Google camera car, was apparently dated back to 2013. Still, the man confronted his wife with the Google Street View picture as ‘evidence’ of her infidelity. The woman reportedly admitted to having an affair and the couple, whose names have never been revealed, later divorced.
The photographs were recently shared on Facebook where they made a big impression on users. A netizen named San Pateste commented: “What a small world it is… It would have been enough if she said to her husband that she did not love him anymore.”
The photograph is one of the long lines of funny to disturbing images were taken for the Google Maps and Google Street View online resources. And it was not the first time someone has been caught red-handed on it.
Unsuspecting citizens have been pictured in the middle of r()bberies, publicly urinating, and even walking around nude.
People dressed as pigeons were also included, an escaped c()nvict, a couple having sêx by their car, street robberies, and a woman giving birth.
