A Peek Inside Julius Babao and Christine Bersola’s Museum-Inspired Home

Julius Babao is one of the prestige news anchor and journalist in the Philippines. He also worked as a radio commentator and a talk show host for ABS-CBN. He’s been part of TV Patrol from 2003- October 2010.

Julius is married to his co-host and anchor, Christine Bersola last 2003. They have two kids named, Antonio and Antonia. Their kids are named after the patron saint, St. Anthony de Padua.

After their long time of working in television and in radio, they gained the trust of the network and the nation, and now working as a full-time program host.

One of the fruits of their hard work in the news industry is their four-storey residence called Casa Uccello or ‘’Bird House’’. The house was built by the excellent art of Jason Buensalido of Buensalido Architect.

Aside from being a veteran journalist, they have a picky and good taste for fine arts and some collection. The family has a wide range of their art collection.

‘’Nandun din yung bahay namin nung bagong kasal kami. Binili lang yung lupa sa tabi, dalaw.’’ Christine shared.

Getting inside the house feels like entering an art museum. The house contains 300 art pieces that the couple collected over two decades.

‘It’s a museum masking as a home” Julius proudly describes their house at Megamall Event
Center on August 17.

Julius was in charge of choosing all the pieces of art that would fit their house. Christine trusts her husband’s great taste in art which is really incredible.

“I trust his sense of decision-making ever since, and lagi siyang tama.”

“When he invests in art, he always invests in the right art talaga…”

The journalist couple’s house was a storage of beautiful masterpieces. One of their main attraction in the house is the one named “Pepper” and their collection includes arts of Australian-Irish visual artist Gottfried Helnwein.

One of the things that makes Julius and Christine’s house is the avain-inspired door handle symbolizing the Babaos. It was sculpted by artist Daniel Dela Cruz.
